Reporting Fraud
Many people see insurance fraud as a victimless crime. That couldn’t be more wrong. Everyone pays for fraud as insurers pass those costs on to consumers. Reporting it is easy, and in many instances, a private citizen won’t even have to provide their name. You can report it directly to the insurance company you suspect is being defrauded, or to the insurance fraud bureau in many states. Curtailing insurance fraud benefits everyone who buys insurance, which is nearly everyone.
