Father Hires Killer To Keep Son Quiet About Insurance Scheme
Scandalous Schemes, s — By Trace America on February 3, 2011 at 2:29 PMSqualid details of drugs, sexual affairs and insurance fraud emerged when 27-year-old Dominick Harriman took the stand and accused his father, of hiring a masked hit man to murder him.
According to The Las Vegas Review Journal, Keith Harriman, 48, was arrested last month for an alleged murder-for-hire plot to avenge his son’s betrayal after he learned his son, Dominick, had reported to authorities that he was involved in an insurance fraud scheme in 2009 which gained him $160,000 by staging a burglary at his home.
Dominick, who also has an extensive criminal background including gang activity, testified that his father was in debt and used the money to pay back loans and satisfy his addiction to crack-cocaine. He also admitted in court that he had “slept” with his former step-mother, Amy Nabors and his father’s ex-girlfriend, Rena Nikolopoulos, which was another motive for his father’s attempt to have him killed.
“He said, ‘You’re gonna pay for this. You’re gonna pay for what you did,’ the son testified.”
Court documents indicated that Dominick had survived 12 gunshot wounds after a masked man ambushed him while taking a smoke break outside of his work, Nice Cars of Nevada, which is owned by his uncle.
Patricia Harriman, Dominick’s sister, also testified against her father stating that months prior to the shooting he had warned her to stay away from Dominick while he was at work and told her that he was going to “hire black men to kill her brother.”
This case really puts a new spin on the saying “all in the family.” Keith Harriman is charged with multiple felony charges including attempted murder. He currently remains under house arrest after posting $500,000 while the masked hit man still remains at large. Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Ann Zimmerman announced that next month she would rule whether or not Harriman should be tried in District Court. All parties are innocent until proven guilty.
