Final Arrest in “Operation Back Breaker”
Rings & Mills, Staged Accidents — By Trace America on January 5, 2011 at 12:38 PMThe Collier County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of the final suspect from the year-long investigation dubbed “Operation Back Breaker.” Miguel Alberto Rodriguez was arrested for his connection to local chiropractic clinics which were allegedly scamming insurance companies by paying individuals to participate in staged car crashes.
According to Wink News, Rodriguez’s arrest brings the total number to 14 individuals arrested from the investigation.
“Miguel Alberto Rodriguez, 44, 160 Golden Gate Blvd. East, Golden Gate Estates, was arrested in Miami-Dade County over the weekend on a warrant charging him with scheme to defraud and patient brokering.”
Last week The Fraud Report reported the arrests of 11 individuals connected to the scheme. Since then, three others including Rodriguez have been arrested. Those recently arrested include Rodriguez, 31-year-old Claudia Sanchez of Golden Gate and 35-year-old Elieser Valdes of East Naples. All three were wanted on “scheming to defraud” charges for their connection to the four chiropractic clinics.

The 14 arrests was the outcome of a nearly year-long investigation by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office which was assisted by National Insurance Crime Bureau, the Florida Department of Health, Infinity Insurance Company, State Farm Insurance Company, AIG Insurance Company and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
