Two Teens Connected to Macias Murder

The plot has thickened as two more arrests were made for the alleged scheme involving the murder of Alberto Macias; one of those arrested being his 16 year-old step daughter.

According to local news station, KMPF, the investigation took nearly three months to make the connection to Macias’s family because they had to go through cell phone records amid their evidence.

“The arrests come one week after deputies arrested 37-year old Laura Hernandez and her son, 20-year-old, Erick Hernandez Camarillo for the crime.  Macias was Hernandez’s husband and Camarillo’s step dad.”

“One of the teens arrested is said to be the daughter of Hernandez, while deputies say the other is the daughter’s boyfriend.”

Laura Hernandez and son, Camarillo remain in Merced County jail on the suspicion of Macias’s murder, insurance fraud and conspiracy; however, it is not yet known how the two recently arrested minors will be charged.
