Exotic Dancer Caught Cashing in on Fraud
Insurance Fraud — By Trace America on May 6, 2010 at 12:32 PM43 year-old Christina Gamble of Quakertown, PA complained to her doctor that it was difficult for her to stand or change positions after a work related injury that occurred in 2007. After filing a claim, Ms. Gamble was then deemed unable to fulfill her duties as a waitress at the local Red Robin restaurant in Richland Township.
According to The Express Times state officials said that an investigation, which was prompted by a tip, unveiled Ms. Gamble was not too injured to stand and change positions while working as an exotic dancer at CR Fanny’s Gentlemen’s Club and Sports Bar located in Easton, PA.
“Highmark Casualty Insurance, which paid Gamble $22,727 in disability benefits and $4,118 in medical expenses, began investigating her claim after receiving a tip. The company has video footage of Gamble working as an exotic dancer.”
Apparently, this video footage of Ms. Gamble cashing in on tips at the gentleman’s club indicates that she was not too injured to continue her work as a waitress. On April 29th Ms. Gamble was arraigned in a Bucks County Court and charged with two felony counts of workers compensation fraud and one felony count of theft by deception. She was later released on her on recognizance. Worker compensation fraud costs individual states millions of dollars every year and is responsible for the increase in premiums that face local employers and business owners.
