Diamonds Are Forever

 An Orange County woman was arrested Thursday for trying to collect on a phony claim. According to the NY State Insurance Department, Nicole Williams, 36, was arrested for trying to collect over $14,000 after reporting that her diamond ring had been stolen.

 “Investigators discovered that Williams filed the insurance claim with Allstate Insurance Company even though she knew that the ring was actually in the possession of her ex-husband.”

Williams has been charged with third-degree insurance fraud and was released pending a hearing on June 1^st.  Unfortunately for Ms. Williams, diamonds are not always a girl’s best friend.
